Job description: About This Role:

The Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is currently seeking a 12-month Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor to join the Athletic Training program. Serving as the Clinical Education Coordinator for the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) graduate program, this position will oversee and plan the program's clinical education portion. This non-tenure track position will report directly to the Department Head.

The complexity of the department allows faculty members who are leaders in the fields of athletic training, dietetics, human nutrition, obesity, public health, and sensory analysis to discover, disseminate and apply knowledge to promote improved food choices and nutritional status, prevent and rehabilitate injuries, understand consumer preferences and behaviors, and enhance the well-being of people via food and physical activity.

Athletic Training (AT) faculty teach in the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) graduate program, the Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Rehabilitation Sciences undergraduate program, and other courses that serve the department. Additionally, AT faculty serve as mentors and advisors for graduate students. The MSAT Program received initial accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education in Spring 2023.

The College of Health and Human Sciences is home to six academic departments (Applied Human Sciences; Food, Nutrition, Dietetics & Health; Hospitality Management; Interior Design & Fashion Studies; Personal Financial Planning; and Kinesiology), the Center on Aging, Physician Assistant program, and a Nursing partnership with Wichita State University.
