About the position
The Production Finance team is looking for a Manager to support the Live Creative Content team. This role will primarily focus on US-based Live projects. This role is based in our Hollywood office, with the expectation to come into the office Monday-Thursday.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with Netflix executives to lead the financial management of Live Entertainment and Sports titles.
• Serve as the lead financial advisor on a title, ensuring the financial strategy and underlying assumptions remain grounded and aligned with business goals from start to finish.
• Manage the budgeting process, from building initial estimates and vetting assumptions to tracking costs throughout production.
• Partner with internal cross-functional teams to handle the end-to-end financial needs of a title and support everyday decision-making.
• Apply flexible, innovative workflows to finance-related issues, with the opportunity to help build and scale processes for a fast-growing Live business.
• Partner effectively with a range of external production services companies across different specialties.
• Work directly with production services companies and accountants to drive accurate, complete, and timely budgeting and cost reporting, support production operations, and ensure alignment with industry-standard accounting practices.
• Ensure show-level compliance with Netflix policies and procedures.
• Manage cash flow and funding processes.
• Maintain accurate and current production information in Netflix systems.
Requirements
• 7-10 years of production finance and/or production accounting experience.
• Ability to adapt established finance workflows and best practices to new initiatives.
• Expertise in entertainment industry budgeting and cost tracking software.
• Thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Possesses a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results.
• High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem-solving and analysis using financial applications.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
