About the position Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant or Non-Credentialed Medical Assistant at the Center for Advanced Surgery East Clinic in Northeast Portland. This role involves working collaboratively with patient-focused colleagues and physicians to deliver high-value care. By ensuring a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders, you will help deliver tailored care to each patient's needs. Responsibilities • Assisting medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination. • Performing complex patient care associated with the specialty and assisting with procedures and tests. • Providing health education and routine information related to medical treatments, procedures, and data collection. • Utilizing EMR to process prescriptions, retrieve test results, and patient files. • Scheduling appointments for established patients. • Obtaining needed imaging for physician review. • Ordering labs. • Facilitating prescriptions. • Coverage of patient advice line. • Processing referrals to outside entities. • Updating records as needed. • Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred. • Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is strongly preferred. • Medical Assistants must be certified within 90 days. • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience with EPIC is strongly preferred. • Excellent attendance and work ethic. • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player. • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members. • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety. Nice-to-haves • Specialty Care and Phlebotomy experience is a plus! • New GRADS, MA, and CNAs are Welcome to apply! • ACLS may be required by specialty.
