Classroom teachers where assigned and the building principal.
Job Goals:
Perform duties that are instructional in nature or deliver direct services to students or parents. Serve in a position for which a teacher or another professional has ultimate responsibility for the design and implementation of education programs and services.

- Maintains a cooperative attitude of working together with the teacher, and planning and implementing activities.
- Plans with and assists the teacher in preparing materials and supplies for activities/assignments.
- Enforce administrative policies and rules governing students.
- Serve on committees to provide insight and contribute to the organization.
- Provide extra assistance to students with special needs and non-English-speaking students.
- Present subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, using lectures, discussions, or supervised role-playing methods.
- Observe students? performance, record relevant data to assess progress and input behavioral data with regards to PBIS.
- Provide students with assistive devices and supportive technology as needed.
- Carry out therapeutic regimens such as behavior plans under the supervision of special education instructors, psychologists, or speech-language pathologists.
- Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers in order to coordinate instructional efforts.
- When using a scripted intervention for reading, writing and math, program must be implemented by following the script provided in the teacher's manual.
- Provide students with feedback regarding academic and behavioral assessments.
- Monitor and implement 504 plan
- Grade homework and tests and record results.
- Assist in other areas outside the classroom, including bathroom needs, unloading and loading busses, hallway supervision and lunchroom as needed.
- Exhibits a genuine nurturing, caring attitude to all children.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding knowledge of students academic and personal information.
- Perform other appropriate teacher assistant responsibilities as directed by administration.
