We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Online Adjunct Faculty member to teach our introductory Medical Law and Ethics course. As a key member of our academic team, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of future healthcare professionals and contributing to the advancement of our institution.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced online faculty member to teach an asynchronous, accelerated 10-week course on Medical Law and Ethics from May 20-July 26, 2024. The ideal candidate will have a law or compliance background with healthcare field experience and a minimum of a master's degree in ethics. Online teaching experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate effective instructional methodology and command of the subject matter
- Facilitate clear formulation of learning objectives and outcomes through thorough course planning and preparation
- Provide constructive feedback to students in a timely manner to foster professional development
- Collaborate with other faculty in the development of curriculum and systematic assessment of student learning
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, and adhere to the mission, vision, and core values of our institution
Requirements:
- Terminal degree in a relevant field from a regionally accredited institution
- Minimum of 18 semester hours in content-specific related field
- Minimum of one year of experience in area relevant to program assignment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with personal computer and standard office applications
