About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Digital Communications Manager to develop and manage the charity's digital channels, engaging key audiences, and increasing public awareness about educational equality. This is a part-time, permanent role that requires a strong understanding of social media strategy, content creation, and digital advertising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to drive engagement with member organisations and the public.
- Create compelling, creative, and engaging content for various digital channels, including social media, websites, and email newsletters.
- Manage and maintain a strong online presence through effective use of social media tools like Buffer and Hootsuite.
- Utilize creative software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and online tools like Canva to produce high-quality visual content.
- Design, implement, and manage paid social media advertising campaigns to achieve specific goals and objectives.
- Work with website content management systems to create and update web content, ensuring a cohesive digital presence.
- Monitor and analyze digital performance metrics to inform future communications strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure alignment with the charity's overall mission and goals.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience in developing and delivering social media strategies in a professional context.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
- Proficiency in using social media tools like Buffer and Hootsuite, as well as creative software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
- Experience in creating and managing paid social media advertising campaigns.

This role offers a competitive salary benchmarked against industry standards. As a part-time, remote role, you'll enjoy the flexibility to work from anywhere, with the occasional requirement to visit our London (Victoria) office (approximately two days a month). Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in the world for up to 6 weeks per year.
