Your Role Virtual Internships connects students with host companies around the world, supporting them throughout their internship experience. Our Placement Success Advisors (PSAs) manage the relationship and escalation side of the programme, but many of the day-to-day operational workflows require consistent execution, accurate tracking, and timely follow-up. As a Placement Support Intern, you will support the operational delivery of the internship experience by managing structured workflows, tracking required actions, sending scheduled communications, and escalating exceptions to the relevant PSA when needed. This is a 3-month, unpaid internship focused on providing you with hands-on experience in a process-driven role focused on reliability, organisation, and attention to detail. You will work within clearly defined systems and procedures, with support and training provided throughout the internship. What You'll Be Doing University Requirement Tracking Monitor and update tracking systems for university partner requirements, including internship documentation, assessments, and programme deadlines. Updating trackers accurately Monitoring outstanding requirements Flagging overdue or missing items in the PSA Escalating cases that fall outside expected timelines Assessment Reminder Workflows Manage structured reminder workflows for intern assessments and required submissions. Sending reminder communications according to schedule Tracking responses and completion status Updating internal systems accurately Escalating non-responsive cases to the PSA Internship Onboarding Communications Send onboarding communications to interns and host supervisors prior to internship start dates. Sending templated onboarding emails Confirming communications have been delivered Tracking onboarding completion status Flagging missing responses or onboarding delays Week 1 Engagement Check-Ins Conduct structured Week 1 outreach to interns and host supervisors to confirm internship engagement has started. Sending check-in communications Logging responses and engagement status Tracking non-responsive cases Escalating concerns or risk indicators to the PSA Operational Tracking & Administrative Support Maintain accurate operational records and support the PSA team with structured administrative workflows. Updating internal trackers and CRM systems Maintaining accurate notes and statuses Following defined operational procedures Identifying and flagging inconsistencies or missing information Who We're Looking For We are hiring based on work habits, reliability, and attention to detail rather than academic background. Tools & Training You will receive training and support on: HubSpot (CRM) Internal operational systems Notion (knowledge management) Internship workflow processes No prior experience with these tools is required.
