Job Purpose:
As a Recovery Associate, you'll serve as a subject matter expert within our Retention & Collections organization responsible for retaining customers and collecting any outstanding balance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound calls and text messages assisting customers to remain in compliance
- Contact customers via outbound calls, text messages and/or email to assist with retention and collection efforts
- Follow up on all promise to pays, payment plans and settlements in a timely manner
- Plan, organize and prioritize daily work to meet deadlines
- Adhere to department guidelines and goals to ensure KPIs are met
- Special Projects and all other duties as directed by management
Job Requirements:
- Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 2+ years experience in a Customer Service, Collections or Sales role strongly preferred
- Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify the problem, analyze possible solutions and decide on the best course of action
- Strong listening skills to understand the needs of the customers and find a way to achieve account resolution
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, call center environment
- Highly motivated to meet department goals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
