SERV is hiring an Account Executive focused on HVAC and Mechanical Verticals to generate new business through a full-cycle sales approach. The role involves self-sourcing leads, conducting sales demonstrations, and closing deals while utilizing SERV's innovative virtual visits product to enhance sales for contractors.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle new business in mechanical and adjacent verticals — HVAC, mechanical contractors, standby generator and home-services operators, and PE-backed groups — from prospecting through close
- Self-source pipeline through outbound: build target lists, run sequences, and book your own meetings
- Run discovery, demo, and closing conversations end-to-end, leading with SERV's virtual product
- Onboard new customers onto the virtual product as the default motion from day one
- Handle pricing, tier, and value objections across both outbound and warm inbound deals
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and new-business opportunities in HubSpot
- Hit new-business and new-location targets on a monthly/quarterly cadence
- Feed insights on mechanical/HVAC buyer objections, vertical fit, and product gaps back to GTM leadership and marketing
- Help document a repeatable prospect-to-close playbook for mechanical and new verticals as the motion scales
Skills
- 3+ years in full-cycle sales — prospecting through close — with a track record of carrying and hitting a new-business quota
- Experience selling software into HVAC, mechanical, field-service, or home-services businesses
- Comfortable self-sourcing pipeline and running outbound, not reliant on inbound or SDR-fed leads
- Comfortable closing over the phone and on video with business owners and operators
- Strong objection-handling and pricing-conversation skills
- Experience managing a full pipeline across multiple stages in a CRM (ideally HubSpot)
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- High ownership, persistence, and consistent follow-through
- Comfortable in a startup environment with evolving processes
- Able to work U.S. business hours
- 5+ years of experience as a quota carrying Account Executive
- Direct experience with HVAC, mechanical, or field-service software (FSM, dispatch, CRM, or quoting platforms)
- Experience selling into PE-backed or multi-location home-services groups
- Experience selling subscription / per-location or virtual/SaaS products
- Familiarity with Stripe billing workflows
- Experience opening a new vertical or market segment from scratch
- Experience building outbound or full-cycle sales playbooks
