Staci Americas is a third-party logistics company, and they are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations. This role includes managing the full accounting cycle, supervising staff, leading financial close processes, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process while ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reporting packages
- Partner with Operations and senior leadership to analyze operational performance and financial results
- Develop and implement process improvements to strengthen accounting controls and reporting efficiency
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and Company accounting policies
- Assist with internal and external audits and support annual financial reporting requirements
- Analyze financial trends and recommend process improvements that support operational efficiencies
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience within a third-party logistics (3PL), distribution, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain environment strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience supervising accounting teams
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, internal controls, and month-end/year-end close
- Experience with NetSuite ERP strongly preferred. Experience with other large ERP systems will also be considered
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-entity organizations preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis
- Experience working with AP automation platforms and vendor management
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Direct accounting experience supporting a 3PL, distribution, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain organization
- Experience with NetSuite ERP
- Experience supporting multi-entity financial reporting
- Proven track record of managing month-end close with minimal supervision
