HF Sinclair is an independent energy company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, seeking an Analytical Monitoring Engineer to support its Mid Con Refineries. The role involves providing technical support through monitoring process and equipment health, developing analytical solutions, and collaborating with various groups to enhance the adoption of analytical tools.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and validates potential failures identified by analytical tools
- Reviews recent failures to develop potential analytical solutions
- Collaborates with multiple groups to foster an adoption of analytical tools
- Aids in the development of standardize work processes for analytical tools
- Supports the refineries in adoption of proactive monitoring solutions and work processes
- Support reliability initiatives and investigations as needed
- Develop templates, standard tools, and best practices for fleetwide applications
- Provides progress, learnings, and achievements cross-fleet
- Managing contractors and vendors associated with technology deployments
- Be a self-starter and prioritize work effectively
- Works on-site regularly, 1 week per month expected, special projects may require more travel
Skills
- A minimum of five years of experience in the Refining Industry with ability to understand oil flows and process unit technology
- Two years experience in using analytical tools for monitoring applications
- A minimum of a bachelors degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a four-year degree is required
- Ability to foster strategic partnerships with business partners
- Ability to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making
- Solid critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, consensus building, leadership capabilities, and drive for results
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
