Job Overview
As a Remote Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in managing the financial documentation of our clients using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. You will be responsible for supervising Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, preparing and interpreting financial reports, and detecting and rectifying discrepancies in income and expense accounts. You will also collaborate with our team members to maintain organized workflows and exhibit excellent time management abilities to consistently meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Documentation Management: Manage financial documentation using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, including setting up and maintaining financial records, accounts, and ledgers.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and interpret financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure efficient extraction of relevant data.
- Discrepancy Detection and Correction: Detect and rectify discrepancies in income and expense accounts, and implement corrective measures to prevent future errors.
- Tax Filing and Payroll Management: Prepare and submit Sales & Use, Property, and City/County Annual Taxes, and oversee payroll processing, guaranteeing timely tax remittances.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain organized workflows, share knowledge, and best practices.
- Time Management: Exhibit excellent time management abilities to consistently meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
Required Skills:
- QuickBooks Expertise: Expertise in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and credit management.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Tax Filing and Payroll Management: Experience in tax filing and payroll management, including Sales & Use, Property, and City/County Annual Taxes.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Multitasking Abilities: Exceptional multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping Experience: Demonstrated bookkeeping experience, particularly with small businesses, and a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Tax Filing and Payroll Management: Familiarity with tax filing and payroll management practices, including Sales & Use, Property, and City/County Annual Taxes.
