The Client Financial Optimization Analyst will provide financial consultation and pricing support while working with clients and sales teams to analyze pharmaceutical data and inform healthcare strategies.
Responsibilities
- Provides financial consultation and pricing support to help CVS Caremark win and retain business
- Works directly with the client and the sales team to provide insight into a client’s pharmaceutical data to make informed decisions on their key health care strategies
- Interacts with individuals and teams that are both internal and external to the organization
- Gains better insight into a client’s business problem to be solved; formulates a data-driven approach to solve the problem; analyzes and draws conclusions; and presents recommendations to the client or Sr. Leadership
- Develops and/or maintains expert knowledge of the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace, pharmacy benefits management industry, CVS Caremark data warehouses and CVS Caremark programs, services, and sales goals
- Performs a variety of client analyses in response to specific business questions and communicates findings, including recommendations back to key business leaders of clients
- Engages in high frequency of client facing activities and meetings, which may include on-site or teleconferenced presentations as an individual or team, and written documents for assigned clients and in support of other clients
Skills
- 1 year of overall experience
- 1 year of experience in analytics
- 1 year of experience in a field such as: finance, mathematics, operational analysis, statistics, epidemiology, sales and marketing research, accounting, economics or other data-driven field. Experience may be met through educational and/or internship experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing Big Data (data bases containing multiple terabytes of data) and then using it to draw relevant conclusions
- Knowledge of SAS or other statistical and database software, including STATA, SPSS, R, and SQL highly preferred
- Experience or knowledge of pharmaceuticals or health care industry is preferred
- Experience in advanced Microsoft Excel-based modeling
- MBA or Master's in data analytics, finance, economics, or similar quantitative field
