Hathiant LLC is seeking a Cloud (AWS) Engineer (DevOps Manager) to support the Grants.gov Information Technology Services program for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The role involves designing and deploying cloud solutions, automating infrastructure management, and ensuring the security and performance of the Grants.gov system. Responsibilities • Design and deploy cloud solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Route 53, RDS, and Kubernetes to build scalable and robust systems • Automate deployments and infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation • Monitor and optimize performance of cloud systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and cost efficiency • Implement security and compliance measures, including data protection, access control, and adherence to industry standards • Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly into existing IT environments • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including system debugging, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning • Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and troubleshooting procedures • Stays updated with AWS services and best practices to recommend and implement optimal solutions • Runa incident response • Maintaina chatbot platform components Skills • Design and deploy cloud solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Route 53, RDS, and Kubernetes to build scalable and robust systems • Automate deployments and infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation • Monitor and optimize performance of cloud systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and cost efficiency • Implement security and compliance measures, including data protection, access control, and adherence to industry standards • Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly into existing IT environments • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including system debugging, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning • Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and troubleshooting procedures • Stays updated with AWS services and best practices to recommend and implement optimal solutions • Runa incident response • Maintaina chatbot platform components • AWS services for compute/storage/networking • Infra automation (IaC) • Cost/perf optimization • Monitoring/alerting • DR patterns • For Grants specific, must be able to align platform with security/compliance (FedRAMP/ATO, FIPS 140 crypto) • 5 years or more of related experience required • Grants.gov, GrantSolutions, or other federal grants management platforms • Federal discretionary grants lifecycle, including funding opportunity posting, application package creation, applicant submission, agency download, forms, validations, and acknowledgements • Public-facing government websites or shared service platforms with large user communities • System-to-system interfaces supporting applicant systems, grantor systems, partner systems, or external federal integrations • Federal forms development, Adobe/XDP/PDF forms, XML schemas, web forms, form validation, and Section 508 accessibility • HHS, OMB, GAO, OIG, congressional data calls, federal stakeholder reporting, or executive-level federal communications • Federal cloud, ATO, POA&M remediation, vulnerability management, disaster recovery, and operational continuity Company Overview • At Hathiant, our mission is to empower government and defense organizations with trusted, AI-driven solutions that secure operations, accelerate decision-making, and strengthen national resilience.
