Position Overview
We are seeking a Remote Crisis Chat & Text Specialist to join our dynamic crisis response team. In this full‑time, non‑exempt role, you will engage with individuals reaching out via chat and text, providing emotional support, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and referrals to community resources. You will also contribute to research, documentation, and quality assurance activities that uphold careerzynith’s high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications

- Strong empathy, active listening, and excellent written communication skills.

- CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) certification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a call‑center or remote‑support environment.
Comprehensive Training Program
All new hires undergo an intensive five‑week paid onboarding curriculum designed by careerzynith’s Crisis Lines Training Department. The training schedule includes:
- Three weeks of full‑day virtual instruction (8:30 am – 5:00 pm Pacific Time, Monday‑Friday) delivered via careerzynith’s video‑conferencing platform.
- Two additional weeks of supervised precepting, which may involve swing‑shift or day‑shift schedules.
- Hands‑on practice with chat, text, and phone platforms to ensure competency across all communication channels.

Overtime is limited to states where regulations permit shifts of eight hours or less (Alaska, California, Nevada). A $1.75 per‑hour differential applies for overnight work (10 pm – 5 am), and holiday shifts are compensated at time‑and‑a‑half.
