Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. proMX is an international Microsoft Solutions Partner specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and project/resource management solutions. They are seeking a Dynamics 365 Finance Business Consultant to support their North American team with a focus on D365 Finance and Project Management Accounting, working closely with customers to analyze requirements and optimize processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and business processes related to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Advise customers on Project Management Accounting processes within Dynamics 365 Finance
- Support implementations and optimizations around Dynamics 365 Project Operations and F&O-related project accounting scenarios
- Work on process design, fit-gap analysis, functional concepts, configuration, testing, and user support
- Support customers and internal teams in understanding the financial impact of Project Operations processes
- Collaborate with CE/Project Operations consultants, solution architects, developers, and project managers
- Support integration scenarios between Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Customer Engagement, including Dual Write where relevant
- Participate in workshops, customer meetings, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution discussions
- Help ensure that proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with customer business needs
- Support documentation, functional specifications, testing activities, and knowledge transfer
Skills
- Several years of experience as a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Business Consultant or Functional Consultant
- Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance, ideally with a focus on Project Management Accounting
- Good understanding of Dynamics 365 Project Operations and project-based business processes
- Experience with project accounting topics such as project setup, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
- Understanding of different Project Operations deployment scenarios is highly preferred
- Experience working with F&O and CE integration topics, ideally including Dual Write
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions and system configurations
- Strong consulting mindset and confidence in customer-facing discussions
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with international teams
- Willingness to support a growing North American practice
- Experience in Microsoft Partner or consulting environments
- Experience with integrated D365 environments involving CE, F&O, Power Platform, or external ERP systems
- Knowledge of Power Platform, Power Automate, Power BI, or reporting topics
- Experience in project-driven industries such as professional services, construction, engineering, IT services, or manufacturing
- Experience supporting presales, demos, workshops, or estimation activities
- Previous exposure to North American customers or international delivery teams
