Penn State University is seeking an Education Research Specialist to support the Education Resource Center at Penn State Greater Allegheny. The role involves assisting with the design and evaluation of educational programs and providing research and data analysis to ensure quality and evidence-based practices in career and technical education.
Responsibilities
- Support the work of the Education Resource Center at Penn State Greater Allegheny by assisting with the design, implementation, and evaluation of technical assistance programs and professional development activities that support career and technical education in Pennsylvania
- Provide high-level research and data analysis support in conjunction with other members of ERC staff and the PA Department of Education Bureau of Career and Technical Education, to ensure that projects and programming are high quality and evidence-based
- Create case studies, policy briefs, and memos that will advance best practices in career and technical education across Pennsylvania
Skills
- Prior experience working with state agencies in Pennsylvania to develop policies and strategies to support workforce development and/or education initiatives required
- Experience authoring research reports, policy memoranda, briefs, and guidance for government agencies
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis
- Experience gathering information from and facilitating groups of diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
- Required Certifications: None
- Master's degree
