Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. FORTE ICT is seeking a Head of AI for Quant Trading, who will report directly to the CEO/CIO. The role involves building an AI stack from scratch, taking ownership of ideas from research to live trading, and leading a team to drive AI-driven impact in quantitative trading.
Responsibilities
- Build from 0 → 1: No fixed pipeline or legacy constraints. You define the AI stack, research workflow, and how models go live
- End-to-End Ownership: Take ideas from research → production → live trading, directly accountable for profit generation
- AI-Driven Impact: Focus on areas where ML can make a difference, including market microstructure, cross-asset signals, and execution-aware modeling
- Build a High-Signal Team: Hire a few top talents, work closely with engineers without heavy organizational layers
- Ample Resources: Access to ~1,000+ GPUs per researcher for large-scale training and fast iteration, no need to fight for shared resources
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative trading, preferably in HFT / MFT environments
- Direct AI/ML experience at top-tier prop trading firms (e.g., Hudson River Trading, XTX Markets, Jump Trading, Citadel Securities, Optiver, Jane Street, Radix, Quadrature's AI-related teams)
- Fluent in Mandarin, able to collaborate closely with global teams including China-based researchers
- Strong academic background: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields, preferably from top universities
- Candidate Pedigree: Tier-1 firms only (e.g., Citadel Securities, Jump, Jane Street, Optiver, Tower Research, QRT, Radix, XTX, or Quadrature)
- Strategy Horizon: Seconds to Intraday
- Ultra-low-latency experience
