The role involves auditing the current sales process, identifying gaps, and building a scalable sales engine while directly closing deals to learn the market.
Responsibilities
- Audit and analyze our current sales motion — funnel, messaging, qualification, close rates, CRM hygiene — and identify the highest-leverage improvements
- Take full ownership of the sales function and its revenue targets
- Redesign and standardize the sales process into a documented, repeatable playbook
- Close deals directly to validate and refine the process before scaling it
- Define the metrics, pipeline stages, and reporting that leadership uses to run the business
- Build the foundation for a sales team: hiring profiles, onboarding, and training materials so new reps can ramp quickly on your system
- Work directly with the founders on revenue strategy, pricing, and go-to-market
Skills
- Proven track record scaling sales at a company from roughly $1M to $5M+ ARR — you've done this specific journey, not just carried a quota inside a large org
- Deep B2B sales experience, ideally high-ticket, service-based offers
- A builder's mindset: you've created sales processes and playbooks from scratch, not just executed someone else's
- Experience training, coaching, or managing reps on a standardized sales motion
- Strong analytical instincts — you diagnose with data (conversion rates, cycle length, pipeline metrics), not just gut feel
- Native-level English communication (spoken + written)
- Available at least 40 hours per week during USA business hours
- Fluent with CRMs and modern sales tooling
