CGI is one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world, seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency and the Defense Agencies Initiative. The role focuses on maintaining CI/CD pipelines, scripting automation, and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure secure software delivery in a high security DoD program.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Oracle EBS and cloud hosted components, including build, test, artifact packaging, and automated deployments
- Use Git for source control, code review, branching, merge management, and enforcing repository standards
- Write and maintain scripts in Bash or PowerShell to automate build steps, environment tasks, deployment workflows, and validation routines
- Support container based workflows using Docker (building images, running containers, understanding registries)
- Run automated security checks (SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, container/IaC scanning) and assist with SBOM generation and artifact signing
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to deployment documentation, test evidence, compliance artifacts, and release notes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting DevOps, CI/CD, scripting, or cloud deployment activities
- Hands on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
- Practical Git experience: branching, merging, pull requests, code review workflows
- Linux command line proficiency and experience writing scripts in Bash or PowerShell
- Basic Docker/container understanding (images, containers, registries)
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government clearance
- Exposure to Oracle EBS environments or federal/DoD IT programs
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible for Infrastructure as Code
- Familiarity with security scanning tools (SonarQube, Snyk, or similar)
- Knowledge of SBOM standards and artifact signing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Cloud/DevOps certifications (AWS, Azure, OCI)
