Work Environment This role is configured to be a remote position; however, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in an outpatient office framework, allowing for both flexibility and accessibility. Key Responsibilities • Conduct supportive individual therapy sessions via telehealth, maintaining a professional and empathetic environment. • Provide thorough observations and documentation of patient behavior and progress according to the treatment plan, ensuring accurate records are maintained. • Assist in orienting patients and their families to therapeutic processes and treatment strategies, helping them navigate their mental health journeys. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and support staff, to address crisis situations, ensuring immediate and effective responses. • Advocate for appropriate services and interventions based on client needs and be proactive in communicating changes in patient behavior. • Utilize your time management skills to balance a diverse caseload, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up on client progress. • Engage in continuous professional development, attending training and supervision sessions as required to enhance your clinical skills. Patient Population / Client Focus You will provide quality mental health counseling to a diverse client population, including adults, children, couples, and families. Your role will involve working with individuals facing a variety of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. By employing culturally competent frameworks, you will address the unique needs of each individual or group, supporting their journey toward mental wellness. Qualifications • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field. • Current licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD in California. • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating effective therapeutic skills. • Expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans based on the DSM-5 framework. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills conducive to building rapport with clients and colleagues alike. • Ability to function independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Experience • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in providing marriage and family therapy. • Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documentation and case management. • Proficient in crisis management techniques and risk assessment methodologies. • An understanding of contemporary therapy modalities and evidence-based practices to enhance treatment efficacy. Compensation and Benefits Serene Balance Psychological Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
