Cyclomedia is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Account Executive to join their sales team, responsible for acquiring new Local Government customers and expanding existing accounts within the New York City market. This role serves as a trusted advisor to local government customers, helping them leverage Cyclomedia’s solutions to improve workflows and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and engage new (Local Government) customers within your assigned territory
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close across both new and existing opportunities
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, events, and partner collaboration
- Own and grow a portfolio of existing customers, driving renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact
- Identify opportunities to expand usage across departments, use cases, and multi-year programs
- Clearly articulate Cyclomedia’s value proposition across imagery, software, and solutions throughout the customer lifecycle
- Navigate complex procurement processes, budgeting timelines, and multi-stakeholder decision environments
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and account activity using CRM tools
- Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Delivery teams to drive acquisition, adoption, and retention
- Represent Cyclomedia at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and webinars while staying current on market trends and identifying new opportunities
Skills
- 5+ years of sales experience in GIS, imagery, or related technology solutions, with a strong focus on Local Government customers
- Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through proposal development and close
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills, including effective listening and customer qualification
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage priorities and work independently
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and passion for growing a business
- Experience working with or selling into tax assessment, public works, or similar municipal functions
