Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Digital Collegium is seeking a Storefront Designer to manage their Apparel and Accessories storefront. The role involves ensuring a streamlined customer experience, developing original merchandise, and implementing marketing strategies to promote the storefront.
Responsibilities
- Manage the storefront, including product organization, website design, and promotion
- Strive for a variety of merchandise. Ensure the offerings are inclusive and avoid gender-based product labels and organization
- Develop original merchandise that promotes the Association’s brand and appeals to the membership at large
- Beta test new merchandise designs to ensure products meet quality standards
- Support event committees posting merchandise to the storefront, including reviewing designs, cross training volunteers and organizing/publishing design collections
- Establish and implement a marketing plan, which includes promoting special deals
- Attend all committee meetings and provide insight into how best the committee can collaborate to promote opportunities and initiatives for the Association
- Coordinate with the operations director on any financial and vendor-related issues
- Facilitate an environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of organizational branding and how best to communicate ideas and initiatives
- Ability to think creatively and deliver impressive concepts that align with Association branding guidelines
- Membership in the association, which can be fulfilled at application. (Free general membership for higher education professionals would meet this requirement.)
- Familiarity with the Association
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
- A fluent knowledge of current design tools and software
- Proficiency with Threadless Artist Shops (or similar storefronts)
- Work experience in a marketing, communications, or public relations environment
- Ability to produce and organize website content
- Ability to work with project management/team communication platforms such as Slack, Clickup, etc
- Google Drive proficiency
