Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Stark Engineering, DPC is an architectural engineering firm based in New York that serves a nationwide clientele. They are seeking an experienced mechanical (architectural) engineer to independently design and prepare high-quality engineering documents for various projects including retail and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead mechanical engineer on assigned projects
- Draft technical documentation utilizing both Revit and AutoCAD
- Perform mechanical load calculations, ventilation calculations, psychart for equipment sizing
- Perform Energy compliance using compliance tool such as ComCheck and Title 24
- Perform full MEPF site surveys and reports
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFI’s
Skills
- Applicable experience as a mechanical (architectural) designer/engineer at engineering consultancy(ies)
- A Bachelor's of Science in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university
- Existing knowledge of mechanical engineering and familiarity with MEP design and relevant codes such as IMC, IECC, and Ashrae 90.1
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement Mechanical design documentation
- Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD
- Located in or around NYC with the ability to commute into the office and job sites on a hybrid schedule
- EIT certification or PE license, or on track to obtain licensure
- Experience in direct communication with project stakeholders including architects, owners, and other project consultants
- Ambitions for career advancement including leadership for the Mechanical engineering discipline
- Existing knowledge of plumbing design
