The role involves reviewing, updating, and maintaining employment law resources for Missouri while working on a flexible, part-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Review, edit, and update Missouri labor & employment legal resources
- Maintain state-specific legal guidance, checklists, forms, and policies
- Ensure legal content remains current with Missouri law
- Write and edit content consistent with Practical Law editorial standards
- Collaborate remotely while meeting established deadlines
Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Active license to practice law in Missouri
- 6+ years of Labor & Employment law experience
- Experience practicing in a law firm or as in-house employment counsel
- Strong legal research, writing, and editing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely
- Experience with one or more of the following: Employment counseling
- Wage & Hour
- ADA
- FMLA
- EEOC matters
- Employee handbooks
- Employment policies
- Workplace investigations
- Employment compliance
- Previous legal writing, publishing, legal editing, CLE authorship, or Practical Law/Westlaw/Lexis experience
