TJX Companies is a Fortune 100 company and the world’s leading off-price retailer, seeking a Principal Business Strategy Architect to shape the future of their corporate functions. This role involves partnering with senior leaders to define visions and lead technology-enabled modernization across HR, Finance, and Site Solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Corporate domain leaders to understand strategic goals, operating challenges, and transformation imperatives
- Develop and maintain capability maps, maturity models, value streams, and operating model views
- Identify cross-functional dependencies between platforms and enterprise systems
- Translate strategic priorities into informing multi-year transformation roadmaps
- Shape initiative proposals, business cases, and investment recommendations
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture and program leadership to ensure business intent drives technology decisions
- Define transition states connecting strategy to delivery
- Facilitate alignment across HR, Finance, Sustainability, Legal/Compliance, and Site Solutions
- Lead workshops to clarify dependencies and resolve conflicts
- Bridge competing priorities with structured, data-driven facilitation
- Prepare and deliver structured, executive-ready narratives
- Create decision frameworks and recommendations for VP/SVP/C-suite audiences
- Serve as a trusted advisor across people, process, capability, and technology tradeoffs
- Support initiative discovery, prioritization, and portfolio visioning
- Align with teams on KPIs and measurable outcomes
- Translate architecture outcomes into communication tools for stakeholders
Skills
- 8-10+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Transformation, or Consulting
- Experience leading Workday HCM, Finance ERP, or Corporate transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of business architecture concepts
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and technology requirements
- Exceptional communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Experience influencing senior leaders and building consensus
- Familiarity with strategic planning techniques and business case development
- Experience across multiple Corporate domains (HR + Finance; HR + Compliance; Finance + Real Estate)
- Management consulting background at Manager/Senior Manager/Principal level
- Experience with Workday HCM or modern Finance platforms
- Understanding of Corporate governance, compliance, and reporting frameworks
- MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field
