Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Procter & Gamble is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure product quality. The role involves designing and implementing manufacturing processes, conducting process analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and optimize existing ones to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality
- Conduct process analysis, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency and throughput
- Develop and execute process validation protocols, including IQ, OQ, and PQ, to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures
- Monitor process performance using statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools, troubleshoot deviations, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment, technologies, and materials to improve process capabilities and product performance
- Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems
- Lead and participate in root cause analysis for process failures and implement preventive measures
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the consumer goods or distribution industry
- Strong understanding of process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations pertinent to manufacturing operations
