As a Product Marketing Manager for Univar Solutions, you will foster continuous sales growth in the Beauty and Personal Care market segment, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to implement successful growth programs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for business relationships with suppliers. This includes mapping and engaging interactions with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams
- Detailed financial analysis and regular presentations externally to suppliers, and internally to leadership
- Accountable for financial results and growth plans for suppliers within Beauty Care customers/applications
- Assist in the implementation, and execution, of the supply, sales, marketing, financial and logistical strategy
- Support and own the negotiation of pricing and buying plans
- Works closely with procurement, finance, and accounts payable to resolve supplier issues and remove supply chain issues
- Works closely with marketing on campaigns, push products, and supplier engagement
- Provides regular market updates to the field sales organization on assigned products, and coordinates training with suppliers for both technical and commercial
- Provides mentorship to Field Sales Organization, and others, on day-to-day issues, i.e. pricing, service, procurement, and supply
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemistry) or relevant work experience
- Understanding of the Beauty & Personal Care trends: Consumer brands, contract manufacturing, raw material suppliers, applications
- Successful experience (3 years minimum) in technical, sales, or product management, with a specialized product concentration in the Beauty and Personal Care industry
- Analytical proven skills are needed to develop strategic data-driven decisions
- Strong MS Excel skills required
- Ability to develop and grow strong relationships with key suppliers and cross-functional partners (Marketing, Procurement, Finance, etc.)
- High level of decision-making ability balancing supplier needs and company objectives
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant workloads
- Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities
- Understanding of chemical distribution business and functions
- Strong preference for experience with consumer products formulation, particularly within the Beauty & Personal Care industry
- Additional Homecare & Industrial Cleaning industry experience would be an advantage
- Microsoft CoPilot skills preferred
