Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Island Tech Services (ITS) provides advanced technology and vehicle upfitting solutions for public safety and municipal agencies. The Outside Sales Representative will drive revenue growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities while managing a defined territory across NJ and DE.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with public safety agencies and local governments within your assigned territory
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline valued at $250K+ within the first 90 days
- Maintain consistent outreach activity, including 50+ weekly touches through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and quotes using NetSuite and our sales enablement tools
- Collaborate with internal teams-including engineering, install, and customer service-to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction
- Represent Island Tech Services at industry tradeshows, events, and customer demos to increase visibility and generate leads
- Achieve and exceed sales goals and performance milestones, contributing to the company's growth targets
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client challenges and aligning ITS solutions with their operational needs
Skills
- 3–5+ years of experience in B2B or public-sector sales, ideally in a technical or service-based industry
- Proven success meeting or exceeding a $1M+ annual sales quota, with at least two consecutive years of 100%+ attainment
- Strong prospecting and territory development skills with a hunter mindset
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Established relationships with decision-makers in police, fire, EMS, or municipal government
- Experience selling mobile data terminals (MDTs), vehicle upfitting services, or related public safety technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field
