Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CHESS Health, based in Rochester, NY, is a rapidly growing healthcare technology company addressing substance use disorder. They are seeking a Sales Director to drive new business and grow relationships with public sector entities and behavioral health providers in the Western Region.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead the full sales cycle for CHESS Health solutions across public sector entities and behavioral health providers, from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
- Build and manage a strategic pipeline development plan — identifying target markets and accounts, prioritizing opportunities, and executing across prospecting, cold outreach, marketing lead qualification, and relationship-building to ensure consistent pipeline growth
- Develop trusted relationships at all levels of target organizations, including state agency leaders, county and city officials, tribal nation representatives, and provider executive teams
- Navigate complex, matrixed organizations, including quasi-governmental agencies and multi-location provider system, to build solutions aligned with each prospect's operational and clinical goals
- Own all stages of deal progression, including lead qualification, discovery meetings, product demos, proposal creation, deal structuring, contracting, and negotiation, with support from Marketing, Customer Success, Clinical, Finance, and Executive Leadership where necessary
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience selling to or contracting with public sector entities (state agencies, counties, cities, tribal nations, or quasi-governmental organizations) and/or behavioral health provider organizations
- Familiarity with the behavioral health landscape, including CCBHCs, FQHCs, CMHCs, treatment courts, or similar provider and government-funded program types
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to audiences of 10 or more, including government officials, clinical leaders, and executive teams
- Relentless drive to reach prospects through whatever channels necessary to build pipeline and close deals
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment, engaging across all departments and levels inside and outside the company
- Proficiency in Salesforce and willingness to manage all self-administrative responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree required
