Job Summary We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Remote Secondary Special Education Teacher to deliver personalized instruction and support to special education students. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing one-on-one support to students, grading assignments, and developing engaging lesson plans. Key Responsibilities • Deliver personalized and engaging instruction to special education students through various communication channels, including chat, email, text messages, and telephone calls. • Evaluate student needs and prior written history to determine and implement appropriate accommodations, ensuring individualized education plans are properly documented and implemented. • Provide ongoing monitoring of student progress, intervening as needed to address gaps and deliver remediation. • Collaborate with peers and administrators in a professional, positive, and student-focused manner. • Participate in company events, activities, and meetings with a positive attitude and a commitment to service. • Maintain a courteous and positive demeanor in every interaction, responding to a wide range of inquiries from students, guardians, and colleagues. • Provide essential proctoring services during periods of student testing, including traveling to testing locations and facilitating the test. • Develop and maintain a strong and supportive company culture by supporting company recruitment, retention, and community outreach goals. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: • Live in the state of Oklahoma. • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education. • Possess a current Special Education Teaching License and teacher certification. • Have at least three (3) years of experience teaching special education. • Have extensive experience writing and implementing IEPs and holding IEP meetings. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and serve others with humility, kindness, empathy, and joy. • Possess excellent communication, technical, critical thinking, customer orientation, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail skills. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred: • At least two (2) years of online teaching experience. • At least one (1) year of experience learning or working online. • Ability to obtain teaching certification in Arizona, Colorado, and Washington. • Ability to pass required background checks.
