LHH is a mission-driven organization seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead technical accounting and accounting operations for a portfolio of entities. The role involves partnering with executive leadership and operational teams while mentoring accounting staff and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Research and document technical accounting matters, including acquisitions, affiliations, and other non-routine events
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities and ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial reporting
- Oversee accounting for multiple entities and complex business transactions
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial packages prepared by the team
- Present financial results and insights to leadership and external stakeholders
- Partner across accounting, finance, operations, and compliance functions
- Mentor and develop accounting staff while driving accountability and continuous improvement
- Support audits, process improvements, and organizational growth initiatives
Skills
- CPA required
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience
- Experience leading and developing accounting teams
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
- Comfortable working in a multi-entity environment with complex transactions
- Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences
- Someone who takes ownership, works well through ambiguity, and follows issues through to resolution
