They are seeking a Senior Contentful Engineer to support and evolve their Contentful platform, focusing on content modeling, platform development, and driving innovation in digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Contentful architectures supporting multiple websites, applications, and digital experiences
- Define content modeling best practices that balance flexibility, governance, localization, and performance
- Lead Contentful environment strategy, release management, and migration planning
- Establish reusable content components and patterns across multiple brands and business units
- Develop and maintain integrations between Contentful and modern frontend frameworks
- Ensure performance, scalability, accessibility, and SEO best practices are incorporated into platform implementations
- Manage environments, roles, permissions, workflows, and governance
- Implement CI/CD pipelines supporting content model changes and application deployments
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production issues, and improve reliability
- Support and execute complex content updates, publishing activities, and time-sensitive business changes while improving content authoring workflows through automation
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, UX Designers, and Marketing teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Mentor engineers on Contentful architecture and development best practices
- Participate in technical design reviews and architecture decisions
- Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance and operational excellence
- Define engineering standards and best practices for headless CMS development
- Evaluate new Contentful capabilities and recommend platform improvements
- Lead technical discovery for new digital initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement in developer experience, platform reliability, and content operations
- Author, edit, and publish content in Contentful, including complex and time-sensitive content updates, by partnering with Marketing, Product, UX, Legal, and other business stakeholders to gather requirements, implement changes, and ensure content accuracy, consistency, and adherence to governance standards
