We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Network Engineer to join our team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an enterprise Revenue Management System (RMS) and providing secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure Windows and Linux systems in an enterprise environment
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure; AWS CLI scripting experience is preferred
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for problem identification, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft applications, including Microsoft SQL Server and related enterprise solutions
- Capture and define system requirements and develop 30/60/90-day plans to support customer programs
- Perform system hardening in accordance with FISMA and DISA standards, lead break-fix activities, and develop exemption documentation to satisfy accreditation requirements
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for a team of engineering resources
- Collaborate with management teams to assess, define, and document system requirements
- Analyze network infrastructure and performance data to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Design and develop network architectures and enterprise computing infrastructure solutions
- Oversee the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of computer systems
- Monitor systems and networks for security threats, malfunctions, performance issues, and errors
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective, long-term solutions
- Prepare network analytics, technical reports, operational documentation, and user manuals
- Train and mentor engineering teams on new technologies, protocols, and industry best practices
Skills
- 7+ years relevant experience
- Familiarity with operating systems, such as Linux and UNIX
- Experience with database management software, such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Excellent scripting skills with knowledge of programming languages, such as Perl, Ruby, and Python
- Good knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP, IP, and OSI models
- AWS CLI scripting experience
- SonarQube setup and configuration
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, AWS EKS and AWS CDK
