Knapsack Creative is a web design agency that specializes in helping small business owners, coaches, and creators tell their unique stories through stunning, functional websites. They are seeking a website designer to create and develop Squarespace websites from start to finish for their clients, as well as design new website templates and marketing graphics.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients via video call to understand their needs
- Design websites for clients using Squarespace
- Make live changes to designs with the client present
- Choose stock photography for sites
- Design graphics for clients
- Present website designs to clients
- Customize site styles with CSS
- Design website templates for Squarespace
- Connect domains and launch websites
- Create graphics and emails for marketing efforts
- Provide suggestions for improving processes
- Occasionally design logos, print materials, and more
Skills
- Experience with Squarespace
- Able to design in a variety of styles
- Proficient in Photoshop or other similar design tools
- Able to make quick design decisions on the fly
- Excellent face-to-face and written communication skills
- Able to troubleshoot technical issues
- Good understanding of website usability principles
- Able to professionally present a design to a client
- CSS knowledge is a plus
- Experience working with a variety of industries is a plus
- Being familiar with the StoryBrand framework is a plus
- Basic copywriting skills are a plus
