They are seeking a Senior Accountant with vacation rental industry experience to support client onboarding and streamline accounting operations for short-term rental businesses.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support client onboarding, ensuring accurate and efficient setup of accounting systems
- Customize and streamline accounting workflows tailored to each vacation rental client
- Manage and review financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Work with vacation rental platforms (e.g., PMS, channel managers, trust accounting systems)
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific accounting standards and best practices
- Identify process improvements and implement scalable accounting solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency and client experience
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for vacation rental accounting
Skills
- An English CV/resume is REQUIRED
- Vacation rental accounting experience is REQUIRED
- Remote (U.S. time zones preferred)
- Direct vacation rental accounting experience is REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of trust accounting, owner statements, and property-level reporting
- Experience onboarding new clients and setting up accounting systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Senior-level accounting experience (5+ years preferred)
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, AppFolio, or similar VR-focused platforms preferred)
