Chameleon Integrated Services is a growing information technology company that specializes in federal IT infrastructure and cybersecurity. They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to resolve complex network issues, manage installations and configurations, and provide recommendations to support their operations.
Responsibilities
- Resolves larger and more complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues
- Supports high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, troubleshooting of network communications equipment
- Serves as regional point of contact for network issues
- Manages configuration and communications interconnection matters
- Addresses multi-protocol routing/network management issues
- Provides written recommendations through tickets, written standards, or updates to existing standards
- Advises on LAN/WLAN/WAN design, deployment, implementation, and standardization to support the MHS mission
Skills
- Active Secret clearance
- DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level III or equivalent
- DoD Health Care Information Systems experience is required
- Mastery-level experience with normal networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, RSTP, VRRP, BIND, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, PPP, HDLC, V.35, RS-449, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, and 802-series communications standards
- Mastery-level experience in routed, switched, and shared LAN environments using supported Microsoft OS, Windows Active Directory, UNIX, OpenVMS, routers, switches, terminal servers, local WAN, and long-haul WAN connectivity
- Hands-on experience with SolarWinds Orion, ARMIS, Ansible, MIB, MRTG-type monitoring, diagnostic tools, network administration tools, OTDR, cable testers, network sniffers, and EIA/TIA cable standards
- Ability to establish and configure network firewalls, VPN devices, and IDSs
- Ability to lead network specialists and coordinate with Government staff, medical personnel, other contractors, NetMOD Network Standards Team, and internal/external organizations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technical degree, or related discipline plus five years directly related experience; or certified technical/vocational school plus 10 years related experience gained through progressively higher complexity
- CCNP and CISSP required
