Vyne is a healthcare technology company connecting providers, payers, and patients through secure health information exchange and intelligent communication management. The Senior Software Engineer in Test I is responsible for designing and implementing automated test cases, collaborating on testing priorities, and mentoring junior testers to ensure software quality.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality of software products
- Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to define and prioritize testing efforts
- Write clear and concise test plans and test cases
- Execute automated and manual tests and report on test results
- Reproduce and report software defects and work with software engineers to ensure their resolution
- Stay up-to-date with emerging testing technologies and methodologies
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to software engineers on testability and quality
- Ensure that software products meet customer requirements and are delivered on schedule
- Mentor and guide junior test engineers in best practices
- Maintain compliance with the knowledge requirements outlined on the department intranet site
- Leverage AI tooling to accelerate development activities (e.g., code generation, testing, documentation)
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Applicable Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a related position
- Expert level knowledge of AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
- Programming language(s) such as JavaScript, Java, C#, etc
- Advanced level knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques
- Advanced level experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
- Expert level problem-solving skills
- Advanced level ability to write clear and concise test plans and test cases
- Intermediate level communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Intermediate level ability to work effectively in a team environment
