Job Summary:
- Prepare and review tax returns, assuming primary responsibility for client engagements
- Manage, supervise, and mentor staff, including professional development and technical guidance
- Address complex tax issues, requiring creativity, research, and comprehension of tax law
- Utilize various technologies to create, analyze, and present financial results
- Ensure completion of engagements, identifying and addressing problem areas with minimal oversight
- Proactively interact with clients to provide business and tax recommendations
- Collaborate with the leadership team to improve the company and drive growth
Requirements:
- Active CPA License
- 5+ years of experience in a small to medium-sized tax firm
- Ability to review and prepare complex tax returns
- Staff management and deadline management experience
- Strong tax knowledge, research, planning, and projection skills
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience with Ultratax CS and Practice Management Software (preferred)
- Dedicated attention, with no second job or external clients
