SALARY: Anticipated salary range $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 plus fringe benefits. Actual salary is commensurate with experience and education. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Under the general direction of the Dean of Academic and Student Development, this academic management position will coordinate tutorial and academic support services for the college and will work closely and collaboratively with deans, faculty, and staff on both campuses (Lynn and Danvers). The Director of Academic Success will oversee the deployment and use of tutor and academic support tracking software to provide communications between academic support staff (Coordinators, Professional Tutors, Peer, Tutors, etc.) and instructors, to collect data related to tutoring and academic support sessions/services, and to analyze data to refine and improve these services overall. The Director of Academic Success will also oversee the deployment of Supplemental Instruction (SI) tutors. This includes appropriate training for SI leaders and the faculty who use them in their classes. Finally, the Director will oversee the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) tutor training program and its certification.

This position will direct and provide operational oversight for tutoring and academic support/success areas as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to: scheduling staff, providing training, evaluating tutoring/academic support activities and coordinating communications to promote services. In addition, the Director will work collaboratively with the Academic and Student Success division to ensure that cohesive academic support is provided to all students, including remote and online learners.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide strategic and long-range vision and planning for academic success and support services (tutoring, academic coaching, mentorship programs, etc.) under direction of the Dean of Academic and Student Development and in consultation with departments across the College. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Assistant Dean of Academic and Student Development

SUPERVISION GIVEN: Directly supervise two Coordinator positions, a Clerk position, and any other employees assigned to this position. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with College policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, and taking corrective action with employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
