As the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics, you will lead this team's efforts and drive strategic initiatives to combat adversarial abuse and promote a safer YouTube experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and removing abusive content, including account takeovers, spam, and harassment, and the Business Analytics team in generating insights, measuring uncaught harms, and publishing Transparency Reports for global audiences.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks from emerging trends and technologies, such as generative AI, and develop strategies to stay ahead of adversarial actors.
- Collaborate with the Policy Development team to craft policies that effectively address harmful behavior, using account, social, and content signals to inform decision-making.
- Drive operational excellence in a global, 24/7 team environment, ensuring high-quality service and efficient execution.
- Develop and manage high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth.
- Manage escalations and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions, while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to drive strategic initiatives.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
Least Capabilities:
- A four-year certification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights.
- 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that develop data infrastructure and ML models.
- 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard hours as escalations require.
Favored Capabilities:
- A postgraduate education in a connected field, such as research, engineering, or data science.
- 2 years of experience in analyzing large datasets and anomaly detection.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse operations.
- Proficiency in SQL/R/Matlab and other relevant tools.
- Exceptional influencing and leadership relational abilities, with the capacity to build associations with cross-functional accomplices.
- Strong business judgment, strategic and analytical abilities, including utilizing information to drive technique and business activity with a capacity to work in a quickly changing industry and oversee equivocalness while limiting vulnerability through quantitative bits of knowledge.
