About the Role
At H&R Block, Product Management is responsible for delivering delightful experiences that help clients achieve financial confidence through intuitive, effective, and differentiated solutions. The Senior Director, Product Management –DIY Experiences will lead a core product pillar responsible for delivering the end-to-end experiences used by clients who choose to complete their taxes independently. This includes desktop, mobile, online human-assisted, and AI-enabled journeys that collectively create a seamless and confidence-building experience. This role will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the DIY portfolio customer and business outcomes —translating customer insights, enterprise priorities and product strategy into high-quality, scalable experiences that drive client satisfaction, retention, unit and revenue growth. You’ll be responsible for short-term outcomes as well as longer-term innovation, new capabilities and identifying growth opportunities.
You’ll also be an integral part of the H&R Block Product Leadership team contributing to the overall product strategy, special initiatives and team culture.
What You’ll Do...
Lead the DIY Experience Portfolio
Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the DIY experience portfolio across all client touchpoints
Ensure a seamless, integrated experience across desktop, mobile, assisted, and AI-enabled channels
Drive clarity on priorities, sequencing, and tradeoffs to maximize customer and business impact
Translate enterprise strategy and Ideal State direction into clear product roadmap, learning plans, OKRs, and measurable outcomes
Deliver High-Quality, Confidence-Building Experiences
Lead teams to simplify complex tax workflows and reduce friction across the customer journey
Ensure experiences build client confidence, trust, and ease-of-use
Integrate human-assisted and AI-assisted capabilities in intuitive, differentiated ways
Continuously improve conversion, completion rates, and client satisfaction through iterative delivery
Lead Product Teams and Drive Execution Excellence
Lead, coach, and develop product leaders and teams
Establish product management practices than anchor on customer empathy, insights, data and experimentation
Establish a strong operating model for product delivery
Evolve product team practices by role modeling and applying AI to transform how teams work
Partner closely with Marketing, Pricing, Engineering, Design, Data, and AI teams
Maintain a high bar for execution rigor, autonomy, and accountability
Leverage Data, Insights, and Operational Discipline
Use data and client feedback to inform prioritization and decisions
Define and monitor key performance indicators
Partner with Product Operations, Shared Experiences, and Analytics teams
Balance speed and quality in a regulated environment
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment and Integration
Partner with adjacent product leaders (Do It For Me, Financial Services, Small Business, Explorations) to deliver on enterprise priorities and outcomes
Lead through influence across cross-functional teams
Surface risks, tradeoffs, and dependencies clearly
Ensure alignment to compliance, risk, and governance requirements
Required Qualifications
12–15+ years of experience in product management or digital experience leadership
Proven track record of delivering and growing end-to-end digital products at scale
Strong product management craft (learning/discovery, roadmaps, prioritization, execution, analytics) coupled with experience in applying AI to transform the product practices
Strong team and people leadership, development and coaching ability
Experience with multi-channel experiences (web, mobile, AI-supported)
Ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes
Strong data fluency and decision-making skills
Experience in complex or regulated environments
Excellent executive communication and stakeholder influence skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Pay Range Information
The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.
Pay Range
$187,500.00 - $312,500.00/Yr.
