About the Role
As a Senior Event Services Manager, you will be the primary resource for our event clients throughout the event planning process and during the on-location Walt Disney World experience. You will work closely with various teams across Walt Disney World, including the Disney Event Gathering, Park Event Activities, Resort Tasks, and Disney Organization, to ensure seamless execution of events. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional guest administration while customizing and selling Walt Disney World experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with high-value gathering and show clients to conceptualize and execute their events across Walt Disney World hotels and parks, with a focus on long-haul inheritance clients and those with high-level Disney connections.
- Oversee contracts, room blocks, food and beverage, general media, entertainment, amusement park events, amusement park tickets, transportation, and all logistics.
- Guide and provide formative opportunities to Event Services Administrators, Event Services Planners, and Associates.
- Demonstrate exceptional visitor administration abilities and consistently seek out creative ways to amaze and amuse our visitors, driving repeat business.
- Develop associations and work collaboratively with all colleagues across the organization.
- Support groups with a high level of intricacy, being knowledgeable of all products and services at Walt Disney World.
- Approach problems across different teams in innovative ways to achieve desired results.
- Maintain a professional business image and show excellence through professional dress, written and oral presentations, including the ability to run compelling gatherings.
- Collaborate with a large number of clients, both internal and external, and articulate needs to present solutions for accomplices and clients.
- Demonstrate an understanding of food and beverage, production, and event enhancements.
- Show flexibility in scheduling, as Event Services is a 7-day-a-week, 24-hour-a-day devotion.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong event planning experience, ideally in a resort climate, with a background in food and beverage, front office, or amusement parks.
- A demonstrated history of working with high-level Disney pioneers or with C-Suite level clients.
- Proven insight into organizing events for groups with rooms and gatherings across different hotels with various teammates, for high-worth, exceptionally refined gatherings.
- A key comprehension of the business goals related to various business sectors and what clients are attempting to achieve.
- The capacity to proactively anticipate potential gathering difficulties and elevate concerns/solutions.
- The ability to design refined groups with minimal oversight from management.
- Imagination to find solutions in new ways and improve the visitor and client experiences.
- Experience proactively tutoring direct reports.
- The ability to create associations and work collaboratively with all colleagues across the organization.
- Capability in essential PC capabilities fundamental to work in a Windows climate and different innovations.
- Plan accessibility to include ends of the week, variable moves, and occasions.
- Shown visitor administration abilities.
- Exhibited hierarchical abilities with scrupulousness.
Preferred Qualifications
Additionally, it is preferred that you have:
- Demonstrated insight into food and beverage management, event services, or culinary activities experience.
- Event planning, event management, or catering activities experience.
- Knowledge of Walt Disney World systems.
- Education about all show resort capability space and all amusement park settings.
- Affirmed comprehension of rooms and related lines of business.
- Experience directing arranging meetings and leading timetables for every working region and client.
- Strong comprehension of food and drink.
- Demonstrated comprehension of the amusement line of business.
- Knowledge of show contract management.
- Exhibited authoritative and time usage abilities.
- Current or ongoing event services or catering activities experience.
- Proficiency in DSCS and Siebel frameworks.
