About the Role Our client, a leading e-commerce platform, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Financial Accountant to join their fully remote finance department. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with US GAAP. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Perform detailed account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of the general ledger. Analyze financial variances and provide insightful explanations to management. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Support external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and reporting requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as needed. Mentor and support junior members of the accounting team remotely. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, preferably with public accounting experience. In-depth knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proven ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote environment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
