About the Role
We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Financial Accounting Analyst to support our Controllership group. As a key member of our Corporate Bookkeeping team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This is a full-time, remote opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $28-$30.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the responsibility for general ledger and month-end close cycle related to corporate accounting, including preparation and review of journal entries for intercompany disposals, intercompany allocations, and related party transactions.
- Prepare and review reconciliations for key accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and perform change analyses.
- Monitor intercompany accounts, address any out-of-balance issues, and collaborate with intercompany settlements.
- Track related party transactions throughout the financial year and perform valuation analyses to determine whether related party transactions are at arm's length.
- Collaborate with the Treasury, Legal, and other groups within Controllership to obtain necessary supporting documentation.
- Work directly with the Supervisor, Financial Accounting - Corporate on ad-hoc projects.
- Aid in the preparation of financial statements through the preparation of financial schedules and references.
- Research technical accounting questions and prepare accounting notices to report changes in accounting treatment.
- Assist in managing internal and external audits by coordinating requests and preparing status meetings.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high sense of urgency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Team-oriented perspective with a positive attitude.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out as a candidate, you'll ideally have:
- A mix of public and private work experience.
- Experience in SAP.
- Entertainment or technology industry experience.
- CPA license.
