Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers to resolve medical benefits-related issues.
- Conduct thorough medical benefits investigations to determine patient eligibility and coverage.
- Utilize computer skills for accurate and efficient data entry, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Gather and review patient billing and medical information to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Operate in accordance with Federal Health Care Program guidelines, adhering to the highest standards of compliance and ethics.
- Collaborate with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of patients, resolving issues and negotiating resolutions as needed.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least 1 year of experience in medical benefits (previous experience in a medical call center is a plus but not required).
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Residency in the state of Kentucky or surrounding cities.
- The ability to multitask and use dual monitors effectively.
- A positive and supportive attitude, with a willingness to help others.
