Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA with strong expertise in Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) and Oracle Cloud@Customer infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering, optimizing, migrating, and supporting mission-critical Oracle database environments while ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and performance.
Responsibilities
• Install, configure, administer, and support Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments.
• Manage Oracle Cloud@Customer infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and database services.
• Perform system provisioning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, security, and Oracle support teams.
• Administer Oracle databases across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
• Configure and manage:
• Oracle RAC
• Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Oracle Data Guard
• RMAN Backup & Recovery
• Oracle GoldenGate (preferred)
• Monitor database performance, availability, and storage utilization.
• Troubleshoot complex database, cluster, and infrastructure issues.
• Lead Oracle database migration projects from on-premises to ExaCC/Cloud@Customer environments.
• Perform database upgrades, platform migrations, consolidations, and minimal-downtime migrations.
• Validate post-migration performance and stability.
• Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Conduct DR testing, failover/failback exercises, and ensure compliance with RTO/RPO objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations on emerging Oracle technologies.
Required Skills
• 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) experience.
• 3+ years of Oracle Cloud@Customer infrastructure experience.
• Strong experience with:
• Oracle RAC
• Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Oracle Data Guard
• RMAN Backup & Recovery
• Oracle Database 19c/21AI/26AI
• Exadata X10/X11 platforms
• Proven experience designing and managing Disaster Recovery environments.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases to ExaCC/Cloud@Customer.
• Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and consultation to IT leadership and engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
Preferred Skills
• Oracle GoldenGate experience.
• Experience with enterprise cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Oracle High Availability architecture.
