Role Overview – What You’ll Do
As a Senior SailPoint Identity Governance Engineer on the careerzynith Remote Chat team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust identity‑and‑access‑management (IAM) workflows that support our global operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional software and platform teams to integrate SailPoint packages, develop custom provisioning processes, and ensure compliance with industry‑leading security standards.
This role is fully remote, with optional hybrid days at one of our collaboration hubs, allowing you to balance flexibility with face‑to‑face interaction when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and launch customer‑specific workflows for provisioning, correlation rules, access certification, and Joiner‑Mover‑Leaver (JML) processes within SailPoint IdentityIQ.
- Lead the integration of SailPoint packages with existing enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow and consistent policy enforcement.
- Develop and maintain custom and out‑of‑the‑box (OOTB) lifecycle management (LCM) workflows that meet evolving business requirements.
- Implement and troubleshoot WebServices, REST API, and SCIM connectors to automate provisioning and de‑provisioning across heterogeneous systems.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and audit teams to enforce identity governance best practices, including RBAC, role mining, access aggregation, and federation.
- Provide expertise in release management, supporting continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for IAM solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives across the IAM community at careerzynith.
- Participate in incident response and root‑cause analysis for identity‑related security events, driving improvements to reduce future risk.
- Stay current with emerging IAM trends, standards, and technologies, recommending enhancements to keep careerzynith ahead of the curve.
Essential Qualifications – What We Require
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in IAM solution design, implementation, and support within an enterprise environment, preferably with SailPoint.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, XML, DSML, Linux, Tomcat, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- IAM Expertise: Strong knowledge of identity governance concepts such as access control, RBAC, role mining, access certification, and federation.
- API Integration: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining REST, SCIM, and SOAP connectors for provisioning and de‑provisioning.
- Problem‑Solving: Ability to diagnose complex integration issues, propose actionable solutions, and implement fixes in a timely manner.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
