General Function:
- Develop in high-level programming languages (such as Java) in a range of development environments, such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, and NetBeans.
- Develop software for cloud-based systems.
- Requirements analysis and design.
- Create and maintain software unit tests.
- Use version control tools.
- Code reviews.
- Work with APIs and system interfaces.
- Support the development of databases such as MS Access, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL.
- Use a variety of release environments (e.g., Development, Test, Production).
- Attend virtual meetings with the customer.
- Ensure code is compliant with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy cybersecurity standards.
- Work in approved DoD environments.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university.
- 10+ years’ experience in designing and implementing Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) solutions.
- IAT-II Certification: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
- Must possess and maintain government security clearance at the Secret Level.
- Java programming language.
- Superior teamwork skills and working within cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong dedication to quality customer service.
- Strong multi-tasking skills are essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
Preferred:
- Experience in Atlassian JIRA, ServiceNow, Microsoft SharePoint, and Wiki for content management.
- Knowledge of IP-based systems and network protocols to develop and support communications protocols.
- Experience with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Automated testing scripts.
- C# programming language.
- Python programming language.
- Microsoft VBA programming language.
