About The Meridian Collective
The Meridian
Collective is a social enterprise and the implementation engine for
the Global South. We bridge the gap between "sovereign intent"
and "corporate agility" by building public-private delivery nexuses
for the energy transition. We focus on moving projects through the technical,
political, and operational "valley of death" to final commissioned
assets.
The Objective
We are seeking a
senior expert to co-author a Strategic White Paper addressing the
"Beneficiation Gap" in the Global South. You will lead the mapping of
private-sector bottlenecks and the "Four-Pillar Framework" for
de-risking critical mineral midstreams (Data, Capex/Opex, Off-take, and
Stability).
Key Responsibilities
Technical Authorship: Provide
deep-tissue technical and financial insights for the Meridian Collective’s
White Paper on critical mineral midstream.
Cost Modeling: Develop
granular indicators for CAPEX and OPEX in jurisdictions like Andhra
Pradesh, Indonesia, and Malaysia, specifically breaking down costs for
specialized facilities like chemical leaching and MSX.
Market Intelligence: Advise on the
structure of Market Offset Buyers Agreements (MOBA) and
"Pull-Through Contracts" between subnational governments,
beneficiation firms, and OEMs like Tesla or Apple.
Subnational Policy Design: Help
"templatize" standardized subnational policy frameworks and
incentive structures that balance investor ROI with local economic
beneficiation.
Required Qualifications
Industry Seniority: 15+ years of
experience in the mining and minerals industry, with a direct focus on beneficiation,
processing, and midstream value-addition.
Global South Expertise: Proven track
record of operational or strategic work in high-potential mineral
corridors, specifically in India, Indonesia, and/or Malaysia.
Critical Minerals Focus: Deep knowledge
of Lithium, Nickel, and Rare Earth Elements (REE) supply chains.
Strategic Network: Previous
experience working with major critical minerals industries (including
associations etc.)
PPP Experience: Demonstrated
experience in understanding state/provincial ecosystem and working of
benefaction industry.
Desired Core Competencies
Techno-Commercial Acumen: Ability to
translate legacy infrastructure "Grid-Lock" and grid code
requirements into actionable tech standards.
Policy and project competencies. In depth
understanding about industrial setup and the kind of policy ecosystem
needed.
Results-First Ethos: A commitment
to moving the needle from "Net-Zero Ambition" to "Net-Zero
Infrastructure" through commissioned physical assets.
